Supportive Friend

Our Team.

Succour Children’s Mercy Initiative was founded by its Director, Mwanje Godfrey of Uganda.
Mwanje Godfrey was born into a family of two boys. Mwanje was raised by a single mother who worked tirelessly to ensure her children had a better future than hers, despite the financial challenges they faced.

Growing up, Mwanje was unable to attend school due to the financial strain on his family, leading him to work at a very young age so he could help his mother support his younger brother to attend school.

Mwanje made friends with a young man named Ibrahim, who helped Mwanje gain employment with Ibrahim's father's company, distributing airtime cards on commission. Through hard work and determination, Mwanje was able to improve his financial situation and lessen the strain on his mother.

In 2016, he created a community-based organization to help those in need. Today, Mwanje, his mother, and Nannozi Suzan run the 'Succour Children’s Mercy Initiative', enhancing the lives of vulnerable children and Orphans through education, guidance and parental care.
